My Grandmother was
a tough, traditional Old World Polish woman who
was committed to the care and well-being of her
children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
This commitment made her a great cook over the
years.
When she
died back in 1984, she left a big empty space in
all of our lives.
A few years later, my Mom
happened upon a large shoebox that was tucked
away in the corner of what used to be my
Grandmother's closet. It was filled to the brim
with handwritten notes of all her greatest
recipes that we had grown to love. My Mom translated many of these treasured recipes
from Polish and did her best in
converting the required quantities and
ingredients.
We wish to share them with
you here, so that you too can enjoy those
favorites we thought were all lost forever.
So thanks again for
stopping by...
You help me to honor her memory by
enjoying her culinary magic !!!
